BPOMAS Principal Members can now cover their parents and parents in law on medical Aid under the Standard benefit Option or High benefit Option. Each BPOMAS principal member can cover up to four (4) parent dependents. The covered parent will have their own medical aid cover as though they were principal members.
The principal member will be liable to pay 100% of the monthly contributions for the parent dependent. However, it is worth noting that the continued membership of the parent dependent shall be subject to the substantive principal member continuing to be a fully paid up BPOMAS member.
The parent dependent should:
- Not be more than 65 years of age
- Not be a pensioner as defined by the scheme rules
Below are contributions payable for parents and parents in law.
